Some drag radials are manufactured with a thinner bead bundle than the standard .630 - .700” resulting in
air loss or tire slippage. These replacement rings reduce the standard gap of a Billet Specialties wheel from
.500” to .375” allowing more crush on the bead bundle of the tire.
Crush is the amount the rings will squeeze the bead bundle of the tire when the bead lock ring is torqued
to the recommended 18 ft-lbs. A tire needs to have .100” to .125” bead crush to seal and grip properly.
